A little history, some explanation, list of experiences, highlights of skills and a few random interests that cultivate the creative person I am.
began my study at university with Graphic Design designated as my major. Halfway through I switched to Philosophy and Theology. I loved creating things but found more fulfillment in asking why and digging into how. There was no UX Design course offered at the time let alone a whole track or major. So after leaving school I took an internship at local church where I was able to dig deep into the how and why while also building out the church website, designing print materials and playing music!
Life was pretty good, but I was bored. Eventually after countless websites built and client work becoming tiresome I stumbled onto something new. User Experience Design. Wait what, there is a career that would allow me to ask people questions, dig into feelings, tap into emotion, and create solutions that would lead others to fulfillment and joy? I had always designed with users as my focus. Count me in. Today, with over 15 years of professional design experience and 8+ years in the field of UX it's now UX Strategy that gets my blood pumping.
